Sample cut

Request a sample cut with TamCut

Not sure if TamCut can cut your material, part or application? Send us your drawing, material information or part idea. Muototerä’s waterjet specialists will evaluate whether TamCut is suitable for your application and help you understand what kind of cutting result can be expected.

This is a practical first step if you are considering TamCut for prototypes, single parts, small batches, maintenance parts, gaskets, R&D or production support.

Right fit

Find out if TamCut is the right fit

Waterjet cutting is highly versatile, but cutting performance depends on material type, thickness, part geometry, number of piercings and required edge quality. A sample cut request helps you evaluate whether TamCut is suitable before moving forward with a machine purchase, detailed quotation or production planning.

This is especially useful for

Unfamiliar materials

Difficult geometries

Prototypes

Gaskets and seals

Maintenance parts

Test specimens

Customer-specific parts

What to send

What can you send us?

You can send a complete drawing, a simple sketch, a photo or just a short description of your application.

Reviewed by real waterjet specialists

Your application is reviewed by Muototerä, a Finnish waterjet company with real production, machine-building and service experience. We do not only sell compact waterjet cutting machines. We use waterjet cutting technology in our own production and understand the practical details that affect cutting quality, speed and suitability. This helps you get a more realistic answer than a simple yes/no material list.

It helps you to mke better buying desicion — and answers the questions a specification table cannot.

Material suitability note

Waterjet cutting results vary depending on material type, thickness, structure, coating, brittleness, elasticity and required edge quality. For demanding, expensive or unfamiliar materials, a test cut is recommended before making production decisions.

TamCut is designed for flat parts and 2D geometries. If your application requires automatic 3D cutting, another machine type may be more suitable.
